Singing the praises of my dentist
I
have faced murderers, investigated unsolved
crimes, researched in Death Valley alone
and vulnerable away from any other aid or
assistance, entered state prisons to tape
documentaries, but none of thos created
tear in me like going to the dentist
My
early years in the dentist chair produced
trauma, pain, anger, frustration and disappointment.
When I entered the Navy as a 17-year-old,
the dentist asked me, "who did all
of that dental work?" "Who left
cavities under the fillings" I spent
many hours in the United States Navy dental
chairs trying to fix all of that. Then in
college, my wife introduced me to a dentist
extremely talented in bridges and crowns,
I have had 13 gold crowns over the past
32 years - predicted to last for ten years
if I really took good care of them.
During
the past four years, I under went six major
surgeries. I am now Diabetic with other
medical complications at age 57 and much
of my time is pent staying healthy. The
idabetes condition demanded that I face
my fears of the dentist to address my health
issues. Then I met Dr. Parisa!
Dr.
Paris Zarbafain, DDS actually cleaned my
teeth, conducted a full evaluation with
necessary x-rays, and all for a low introductory
price. Dr. Parisa proved to be quite a gentle
dentist. Really! Even when the shot was
given, penetrating right through all my
fears and apprehensions, it was gentle.
I was scheduled for about 90 minutes of
work. Dr. Parisa determined that one of
my teeth could not be saved - something
I really knew - and she offered to go with
me to the specialist to extract it.
Then,
I suggested we continue, and almost three
hours later she gave me a mirror. Dr. Parisa
actually accomplished some cosmetic improvement
while filing my teeth. I have had to deal
with that tooth for 57 years. In an instant.
In a moment. Without even hinting what she
was doing, Dr. Parisa solved the problem
and I did not have to take out a mortgage
either. "Now, you are beautiful. You
can stop traffic now!"
Former
President George Bush talked about a "Kinder-Gentler"
people. We all applauded his efforts. Dr.
Parisa is one of those kinder-gentler people.

in South Orange County, Mission Viejo is a planned community
that once had cattle grazing on its hillsides. The land
was purchased from the O’Neill family nearly half a century
